An effective Indoor Environmental Professional needs a strong understanding of the dynamics of building performance to find the ‘why’ behind the problem and ensure they are doing more than just addressing a symptom. But really, it won’t matter unless they are also an outstanding communicator, which, in my experience means being an attentive listener who is able to really understand the goals of the client in need of real solutions.”
